We love this unique, lemon-shaped, folding, wooden lemonade stand for kids - of course, we are biased because it is ours! The bright color and shape capture peoples attention, effectively communicate its purpose, and brings in a lot of customers! The stand is 48 inches high, 72 inches wide, features a 12 inch high bench seat and 22 inch high table, and folds to only 6 inches wide for easy transportation and storage.
The plans are over 20 pages and include detailed materials and tools lists, including sourcing information, as well as cut and assembly diagrams. You will need a jigsaw, drill and bits, measuring tools, hammer, and a circular saw, nail gun, and sander would make the build easier. The build isn't difficult and can be completed in a weekend. This Old House has instructions and a tutorial for a plywood-based, easy-to-build, kids lemonade stand. The stand is easy to assemble—slotted construction means no nails or screws—it's sturdy and colorful, and it comes apart quickly for storage. You likely won't find another stand that stores in such a compact space - it's just 48 inches by 28 inches, and about 2 inches thick when disassembled and stacked flat.
This build only requires a single piece of 1/2 inch birch veneer plywood, PVC pipe, and paint supplies. We would swap out the PVC pipe for a wooden closet-rod dowel so it could be painted to match the stand. You will need a jig saw, drill and bits, measuring tools, and a circular saw and orbital sander would make the build easier. We estimate the total cost at $100-150 and the build time is about 3 hours - basic knowledge of using the tools is recommended, but no specialized skills are required.

Crate-based stands are simple to build, light-weight for easy transport, and either break-down or are permanently assembled with wheels added to the bottom. You can find the crates, wooden dowl rods, and if you want to add them - wheels, on Amazon. This build only requires one cut - the table top - which could be done by the lumber yard, a drill with bits and some hardware, and paint supplies - no woodworking experience is necessary. We estimate the build cost to be about $150-200 and it could be completed in a few hours - plus time for the paint to dry.
