Lemonade Stands

We are big fans of purpose-built custom stands as we find that these types of stands get the best reaction from customers. The build material and quality is up to you so you can design around a budget or build a high quality stand that cost a bit more. General purpose stands are those that can be used as a lemonade stand but are also fit for other purposes.  This can be a good option if you intend to use the stand to sell cider, hot cocoa, girl scout cookies or other products. Just like with purpose-built stands, you can design your own or purchase plans to get you started. 

If you don't have the time or budget to build a stand you can always make-do! A simple table  with a sign is the bare minimum to run a stand.  If you go with this option make sure you put some effort into signage otherwise your stand may not be recognizable to potential customers. Buying a pre-built stand is a great option if you don't have a lot of time to build  your own.  The timeline from purchase to grand opening is shorter than a custom built stand and many pre-built stands come with signage, decorations, and supplies.  The build material and quality can vary greatly  so the lifespan can range from a few uses to years of use. We have seen cardboard stands for as little as $50, wood for about $200 plus, and inflatable for $500 plus. Check out our Stands for Purchase page for examples and sourcing resources.

Custom stands may be built-to-order or fully customizable to your specifications. This is a great option if you have specific design requirements and a longer timeline. Signage is one of the most important elements of your stand. You will need at least one clear, legible sign indicating that you are selling lemonade and it is advisable to have a sign that includes the price.  You can make your own signs or purchase a sign or banner.  Check out our Signage & Decoration page for examples and sourcing resources. 

Decorations such as balloons, garlands, t-shirts and name-tags, faux lemons and even faux lemon trees aren't necessary but they can make a big impact in terms of capturing peoples attention and being memorable.  Check out our Signage & Decoration page for more information.
